We left the landing at Buck Hall and went south to Bulls Bay, due to the wind forecast for the day. It proved to be a great call. These guys are pretty good anglers and they put a nice upper end slot in the boat in the first 15 mins. Then it seemed to cool off there quick, no more strikes. These guys wanted to use only artificial baits. I was pretty reluctant but said ok if that’s what you want to do, then my day may be harder than thought. So we ran out into Bulls Bay when the tide would let us. We drifted down this bank and seen numerous “blow ups” from Redfish. Had 2 hookups and lost both.
So I decided to move to another location on the rising tide. This wasn’t panning out like I thought it would early, but after searching about 300 yds down this bankline, Corey hooks up with a really nice Redfish and it gives him all he can handle. Then 5 mins later, another and another Redfish. He was starting to put on a clinic “How to catch Redfish on Spinner baits”!!! These guys did an 8 hour charter and boated over a bakers dozen. Its nice to see guys that love to fish as much as they do and catch fish. Hopefully they will come back again after the success they had on the” Red October”!
