So I decided to move to another location on the rising tide. This wasn’t panning out like I thought it would early, but after searching about 300 yds down this bankline, Corey hooks up with a really nice Redfish and it gives him all he can handle. Then 5 mins later, another and another Redfish. He was starting to put on a clinic “How to catch Redfish on Spinner baits”!!! These guys did an 8 hour charter and boated over a bakers dozen. Its nice to see guys that love to fish as much as they do and catch fish. Hopefully they will come back again after the success they had on the” Red October”!

We had a great fishing charter with Steven, Tommy and Brent. These guys did a half day Myrtle Beach charter fishing trip and we all had a blast. Steve was the big winner of the day with a 29 and a handful in the mid 20′s. Some of the best days out on the water in the Myrtle Beach are during the spring time. The waters are clear and the fishing is GREAT!

Children Friendly Fishing Charter Myrtle Beach

The Fishing Charter Myrtle Beach day started out a calm day in the morning. This was the first time Thomas was on the boat for a charter, he is 4 and he is a little trooper! He was focused on Snackin”{like his older brother} He He!!! But they both love to catch fish, believe me guys.  They are all about it for the first hour or so and if the fish are cooperating, then we are snackin and watchin till the time is right. Matt and I are looking for fish for the younger generation to get fired up on!! Thomas was a trooper, He fought that first fish like he was a seasoned veteran, (Did I mention this little fishing champion is 4). He was working like a bandit but it was wearing him out fast. The first fish was his and it was all he had to to beat em’. Myrtle Beach fishing success at last. He landed his first “Redfish” ever. You couldn’t have slapped the cute smile off of his face, Priceless. We didn’t do as good as last time but at least the kids got wore out from reeling in the Redfish.

Hope you guys had as great as a day as I had. Nothing makes my day more than see a kid smile from the fish he just reeled in!!!!!!

The harter consisted of Steven, Tommy and Brent. These guys did a half day Myrtle Beach fishing charter and we all had a blast.

In the morning the winds were really calm, nearly too calm because the sand gnats were literally carrying us off the boat. A couple of times we had to leave the spots we were at, we had to get the boat on plane just to lose the gnats. The bad thing was nobody had bug spray at all, it was brutal!

Steve was the big winner of the day with a 29 and a handful in the mid 20’s. Tommy got a a nice Redfish also.

Captain Rob Beglin takes out another fishing charter for some Redfish Action!

Once we got to the spot where I had been targeting Redfish for the last couple of weeks, I got all of the rods ready. On this charter we only throwing artificial baits. I had 2 boys in the boat and the said they wanted to learn how to catch Redfish on artificial baits. This time of year we generally throw only artificial’s.

We started in and slowly began moving towards the spot looking for the signs they were there. In about 30 mins, Steven was hooked up with a 26.5 in Red. We got him in and before you knew Brooks hooked up with a 25 in Red. The winds started to lay down and water was easier to see the fish.

We went to a couple of other spots and looked but the dolphin were relentless on the schools, thrashing and tearing the schools apart, we managed to boat 10 redfish and Steven had the big one of the day at 31 inches, 10lbs.Great job Steven

The Myrtle Beach Fishing Charter was a slow day and we were seeing lots of fish but none of the fish would cooperate. We ran into the bay and looked around where I was catching a lot of Redfish but the water was high and we had to wait for the tide to drop about 3 feet. The full moon and the winds really had pushed a lot of water in the bays and who knows where the fish went to. So we ventured back into the waterway and looked at 100+ Redfish but none of them wanted to play. So now it was up to me to find some schools that would play.

Tried a total of 3 different spots and before we knew it, here comes a school pushing right at us and we double headed. We messed with those fish for awhile longer but with the tide getting to the negative 1 foot mark, they were getting spooky.

Left there and went to another spot that I thought Redfish might be holding and there was about 25+-. We ended up getting a handful out of there. It was a slow day in comparison to the last couple charters I had done. But everybody caught their first Redfish ever. Everybody was happy.

So we ventured into a bay in McClellandville and started searching for other fish to have fun with. We traveled approximately 200yrds of banks where I had caught fish in the past and seen a measly “2″ Redfish. Distraught I had to focus and think where else to look. It took a little thinking but I had come up with a plan. Went to the next spot and started looking down the bank line and looking and looking and looking, nothing at all. I couldn’t get the boat on plane where I was so I was running the trolling motor at a fast pace just to get to deep water and before you Knew it, Holy Crap!!!! I yelled out “CODE RED”. They were everywhere around the boat, front, back and sides. A school of 100+ ready to play with us.

We sat back and let them settle down for about 10mins. Then we proceeded slowly looking for em and we started catching fish after fish, after fish. We had numerous double headers and caught fish for close to 2 hours non-stop action.

Justin was in from Morgantown, WV and he was wanting to go before he had to go back home on Weds. Well he couldn’t have picked a finer day to be on the INSHORE XTREME CHARTERS. He say it may rank as the top days of fishing in his life. Thanks Justin

Tide was falling and all was looking good as far as winds and tides. We looked in a few spots where I had found fish recently and had a hand full of hook ups and also few get off. So we ran to another spot to see if this school had shown up there yet and no success. But just as we were getting frustrated, there it was. A couple of dolphin told me where a school of Redfish were. The dolphin were slinging water and fish everywhere. I looked at Richard and Eric and said, “Lets give it about 20 mins and we will go over there and see if the will eat. Typically, I will not even mess with a school of fish after the dolpin attack them but maybe they will eat in about an hour. So we went to that area and started to drift the bank looking for them and low and behold, JACKPOT!. We are looking at a school of 150+-. They were lined up like soldiers just looking for a gulp shrimp from us. So be ing the good Capt. I am, I served up a buffet of Gulp shrimp for them. And they LOVED em. They kept swimming up to the boat and drifting back, they did this for an hour. The fish couldnt get by the boat because the way I postioned the boat.

After we got tired of messing with these fish we decided to go looking for other Gulp enthusiasts! And what do you know, we found another school of 50+- and they loved the Gulp shrimp also. We fished for nearly 8 hours and had 20+ hookups. This is the 2nd charter that Richard Morrow had done with me in 3 weeks. Thanks Richard foranother great charter with you. richard is a good fisherman and a great person to have fun with.

The morning was allot warmer then they called for and we were set for our Myrtle Beach fishing charter. It was 52 instead of 35, which was nice. A little rain we had to deal with but that quit soon.

We first ran down the waterway and set up at a creek mouth and Chris had caught a really nice Redfish there but that was the only one for this secret Myrtle Beach fishing guides spots. So we left there and ran down the waterway in search of a school that wants to cooperate. The next spot on our Myrtle Beach charter gives up on or 2, so off to the bay we go. It turns out to be a great move, Shelly started catching fish and everybody was watching. She caught 6 fish out in the bay and Chris (her Husband) caught a small handful. But unfortunately, Shelly’s brother Terry did not catch any fish. I hated that more than anything. The great thing was that they took a bunch of fish home to eat back to Aiken, Sc. The other great thing was that they grew up in Pittsburgh Pa. Once they told me that, the day really couldn’t get better. They were a lot of fun on the boat and they had a blast during this Myrtle Beach charter. That was the most Redfish they had ever caught while fishing Myrtle Beach.

I had decided to stay in the waterway because this is the time of year we find alot of fish here and also the winds form the NE were not going to cooperate in the marshes for us either. The first spot we went to, we worked the school for about an hour and Richard had caught about 4 fish. We decided to move and look for other Redfish, and we found them. We got a doubleheader on the 1st cast. Richard picked up a handfull more here and moved to the next spot. The winds started picking up and also the tide was against us. So we decided to head back to the ramp @ BuckHall after the 4 hour charter. Total fish for the day was about 15, pretty good day considering we were fighting the rising tide and the winds.

The new capt. my 5 year old boy Conrad. Hard on the  throttle. Faster the better, according to him!!!

We went on the flats in Cape Romain in McClellandville to look for the Reds. When we arrived there, It was total disappointment across all of our faces. The beautiful weather had brought out the most people I had ever seen on this flat. There were 4 boats in this area that I have been catching approx. 30-40 Reds per Myrtle Beach fishing charter a week ago. We decided to stay and fish because we had so many kids in the boat and was hoping the fish were still here. In disappointment, obviously in a week, the boats ran most of the fish from this area outta here. But we made the best of it and stuck with the plan.

Spencer 9, my oldest boy caught the first fish.It was a 22 inch Red.  Next thing you know everybody caught a fish!

Conrad 5, my youngest, Whispered in my ear ” Daddy, I want to catch another fish”! I told him to get ready because it was going to happen. And it did. He wrestled a 25 inch Redfish all by himself.  It almost took his arm off but he wasn’t not letting go of the Rod for nothing. Truly it was working him over but he wasn’t giving in to the fight. We got it into the boat and you couldn’t wipe that smile off of his face. He was so happy to get this fish in and his day was complete. Everybody fell asleep on the way home from the trip. We tagged all of the fish in hopes that nobody would Harvest any of the fish we caught that day. What a Great day to Remember while fishing Myrtle Beach.

The Myrtle Beach fishing charter started out at about 60 degrees F, with no wind and absolutely beautiful. But the gnats were unrelenting and we all were praying for a little wind to help.  So we left the landing going to search for the days catch. We ventured up the waterway at lowtide tide rising. We found a few fish at the 1st spot but no luck, missed a couple. So we ventured to the next spot and we found a SCHOOL of Redfish, estimating at about 200+. We were working these fish for about an hour with no success. It was very frustrating because we could see all these fish and only had 1 hookup. They seemed to have lockjaw for some reason or another.

We decided to go into Bulls bay in hopes to find fish that were more aggressive. We did do just that. The bay only gave up about 12 and lost a few fish that were hooked in-between. All in all,  it was a beautiful day on the water and caught some fish to show for it. Some days are better than others, and that is why they call it “Fishing and not Catching”!!

Ken, Ray and Walt had a good time Fishing Myrtle beach.

The Biggest was around 45 pounds and the smallest was at about 30 pounds.
